BENEFITS:

Buriti Oil is a wonderful oil that has properties that nourish, hydrate and repair the skin. Often used in formulations intended to treat aging and sun-damaged skin. Buriti Oil has strong antioxidant properties that can protect the skin.
Buriti oil contains high concentrations of monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid) that have hypocholesterolemic action (2); these concentrations (~72%) are higher than in olive and Brazil nut oils.
The nutraceutical fraction of buriti oil is composed of tocopherols (3) and carotenes (4), which have nutritional importance as antioxidants (vitamin E) and provitamin A.
The low concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids (~4.5% of linoleic and linolenic acids) gives this oil a high oxidative stability and reduces its comedogenic properties.
